Our Philosophy

Why we call ourselves a modern-day coachbuilder.

There was a time when a car was not bought. It was commissioned.

A manufacturer supplied the mechanical promise: the engine, the frame, the chassis. What clothed it was a separate decision, carried to a coachbuilder who shaped a body by hand, for one client and no other. The result was never a product. It was a masterpiece, made once.

Then efficiency became the only question worth asking. Production scaled. The car grew standardised, affordable, and within reach of almost everyone — a triumph for society. But something was surrendered to achieve it. Individuality. Craftsmanship. The idea that a car could carry its owner’s character. Coachbuilding was not carried forward. It was simply set aside.

We are living through another such reckoning. Electric drivetrains, new manufacturers, autonomous machines — the question of how a person moves is being rewritten once more. And in this age of standardisation, self-expression has not faded. It has surged.

Kynetik exists for that return. We are a modern-day coachbuilder, because the moment calls for one again.
